Homecoming kickoff for Ole Miss game is …

… not what the university will like. A year after being forced to play a 7 p.m. game on homecoming, this year’s version will start even later at 8 p.m. against Ole Miss.

The television networks announced that decision just a little bit ago after waiting to see the results of this past Saturday’s games.

Tide falls to No. 8, behind Auburn

Both major polls are out and the Crimson Tide have been officially passed by Auburn according to the Associated Press and the coaches in the USA Today panel.

The Tigers moved to No. 7 in both after moving to 6-0 on Saturday night while the previously top-ranked Tide fell to South Carolina and tumbled all the way to No. 8.

The USA Today poll is the only one that really matters since it factors into the BCS formula and the AP’s doesn’t. Read more to see both polls in their entirety.

On the field after Alabama’s loss

While I put together the full video of the day, check out this look from the field as Alabama players and coaches run the gauntlet back to the locker room going right past the South Carolina students after losing 35-21.
