Time-lapse video of storm clouds rolling into Tuscaloosa

It’s been another one of those surreal days in Alabama. Tornadoes popped up in the Huntsville area and I had some tense moments watching my hometown of Louisville narrowly miss the worst of it.

It could be a long night in Tuscaloosa with orange and red radar images moving through Mississippi. This is what it looked like from my car parked at Midtown Village in Tuscaloosa as afternoon became night.

Stay safe, Alabama.

An imperfect time-lapse video for a milestone moment

For this, the 2,500th post in Daily Bama Blog history, I present a time-lapse video that didn’t go quite as planned. It looks like I aimed too high with propping the camera before the game. You get a good view of the sun setting on the Iron Bowl.

Blog back in business

The long-weekend vacation is now complete and the blog is back in service.

An interesting week could be in progress for the Southeastern Conference since the spring meetings are underway in Destin. There is all kinds of chatter coming out of the Redneck Riviera about oversigning, roster management, etc.

Also in Florida, the Tide baseball team is playing in the Tallahassee NCAA baseball regional as the No. 3 seed. More to come on that.

The softball team is in Oklahoma City for the Women’s College World Series with a shot at the elusive national title.

Stay with the blog. We’re back in town and ready to work. First check out this time lapse video I took of the sunset Sunday night at Isle of Palms, S.C.

Another time lapse from the Daily Bama Blog

It’s been a while since I indulged in this little hobby. Take a look at the time between sessions at today’s SEC basketball tournament. My favorite part is during the national anthem. It’s the only moment when everyone stands still.
