Eli Gold, the longtime voice of Alabama football, has another job to add to his long list.
According to this release, Gold will lend his talent to the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series that begins March 6 in Miami.
Don’t panic, loyal fans of his radio work with the Crimson Tide. It won’t interfere with his fall commitments in Tuscaloosa. The release quoted a still-glowing Gold when it comes to the national championship.
“I’m still reveling in the National Championship victory over the University of Texas,” Gold said. “It was a very special year. It was one of those seasons you dream about, but you don’t know if it will ever happen. It was the 13th National Championship for Alabama. It was great doing the broadcasts all season long and capping it off with the BCS National Championship at the Rose Bowl Stadium. It was also very nice showing up at Daytona for Speedweeks and seeing how many in our racing community came over to offer their congratulations.”
