The bracket is in and Alabama landed in the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2006.
Who will the Crimson Tide play? Where will it happen? When?
Creighton in Greensboro, N.C. on Friday. A potential meeting with No. 1 seed North Carolina would come in the second round.
Alabama got the No. 9 seed as was projected.
Creighton finished 28-5, and won the Missouri Valley Conference conference title. The Bluejays won seven straight games after dropping three straight in early February.
The Jays beat UAB by 10 back in November and Wichita State is the only common opponent between Alabama and Creighton. The Tide beat the Shockers while Creighton split both meetings with its rival. They won 68-61 early in conference play, then took an 89-68 beating to cap the three-game losing streak on Feb. 11.
“Get the dancing shoes out!!!!” Andrew Steele posted on Twitter immediately after the pairing was announced.
