There’s no more drama surrounding Alabama’s suspension situation entering Wednesday’s game with Auburn. But there’s still the matter of Trevor Lacey’s ankle creating intrigue.
So will he play in two days?
“Don’t know,” coach Anthony Grant said on Monday morning’s SEC teleconference. “He’s been with our trainer.”
Lacey, a freshman starter, sprained his ankle Thursday at Arkansas, but returned to the lineup Saturday against Mississippi State. After 11 minutes, he tweaked the ankle driving to the basket.
“He did a great job leading up to the Mississippi State game of getting himself prepared to get back on the court,” Grant said. “We’ll find out today. Obviously, he’s a tough kid. If he can play, and be where he needs to and where he wants to be from a physical standpoint, he’d be available.
“But obviously, No. 1 first priority is making sure his health is where it needs to be.”
