One week after winning a national championship with Alabama, now-former cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick found himself in trouble with the law.
He was arrested early this morning in Florida for possession of marijuana in Bradenton, Fla. Kirkpatrick was booked at 12:48 a.m., according to the arrest report.
The future NFL draft pick, whose full name is Dandre Kirkpatrick, was bonded out for $120 cash, the report states.
According to the booking information, Kirkpatrick stands 6-2 and weighs 180 pounds. He’s listed at 6-3, 192 on Alabama’s roster.
Kirkpatrick, along with running back Trent Richardson, announced last week their decision to skip a senior season at Alabama to enter the draft.
The 6-2 cornerback was projected among the top 15 prospects for the April draft.
