NEW ORLEANS — Even six weeks isn’t long enough to heal all minor injuries.
Two of Alabama’s starting defensive backs are still dealing with nagging upper-leg pain as the Tide nears Monday’s BCS title game.
Senior DeQuan Menzie said he’s been playing with a hamstring issue all year. It was heavily wrapped in Thursday’s practice and he was limping noticeably.
“It just continues to nag,” he said. “But I’m going to be alright.”
Sophomore Dee Milliner also had a wrap on his thigh in practice. It’s caused trouble since the 42-14 win over Auburn in which he scored a touchdown on an interception.
“It’s nothing real bad,” he said. “It’s just feels sore — a little pain in it. So I keep it wrapped to keep it from getting injured anymore.”
