That big game is still five days away and the gamblers are sure to start getting serious. As of Wednesday morning, the Las Vegas oddsmakers aren’t getting too bold with point spreads.
Alabama is a 1-point favorite according to most of the sports books with the BCS title game on the board. Caesar’s/Harrah’s/Rio is the only to give the Crimson Tide a 1.5-point edge over LSU, according to VegasInsider.com.
LSU opened as a slight favorite when the odds first went up a few weeks ago, but betting patterns shifted the number to Alabama’s favor. These odds don’t always reflect the exact projection for the game after the bettors start throwing money around.
The under/over for points scored is 40 even after the two combined for just 15 points back on Nov. 5.
