So, how much are BCS tickets selling for today?

Well, we can at least tell you how much people hope to sell tickets to that football game Jan. 9 in New Orleans.

The two most comprehensive websites for scalped tickets reveal not a single seat to the BCS national title game sells for less than $1,000.

The average ticket on FanSnap.com is right around $2,200 — down from a high of $3,000 a few weeks back. The numbers might be skewed by sellers who inflate the prices to draw attention. The most expensive seats that are legit run in the $3,000 range.

At TiqIQ, the 2,064 tickets for sale average a price tag of $2,253. The least expensive ticket costs $1,100 for Section 601, Row 36.  Anything below the 600-section (very top) will cost at least $1,600 a pop.
