It’s a nasty, rainy, stormy day in Tuscaloosa and the Alabama football team is back indoors. They would have been there anyway since the title game is held in the Superdome. Either way, here are a few notes.
- Cornerback Phelon Jones was back in practice after missing the last two with a sickness.
- Tight end Harrison Jones was not spotting after suffering an injury in yesterday’s practice.
- Also absent, as he’s been all week, was receiver Duron Carter. It’s nothing major, I’m told, and he’s still with the program. The pre-BCS practices are more for the players who’ll be a part of the game, and Carter is not on the list as expected. The son of former NFL star Cris Carter has been ineligible all season after transferring from junior college.
