Less than a week after accepting the head coaching job at Colorado State, Jim McElwain was back on the practice field in Tuscaloosa on Monday.
The Crimson Tide offensive coordinator was back to business as usual — and as planned as Alabama began practice today for the Jan. 9 BCS title game with LSU. He recruited for the Rams until the dead period began at midnight.
So for the next few weeks, he’ll be focused on the Alabama offense and preparing for the tough LSU defense. McElwain didn’t seem any different than he did before taking the new job during the media viewing period.
Check back later for video and more from today’s indoor practice.
