LSU coach Les Miles is awesomely honest. It’s hard to hate him if you’re a journalist like me.
Take a look at what he said Friday about the early-arriving Alabama students from the Nov. 5 meeting in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
“I enjoyed the Alabama student section. Those people were in there so early,” Miles told reporters Friday in Baton Rouge. “They wanted to see their team play. They were for their team. They were not necessarily for the opposing head coach.
“The opponent’s head coach understood that. I was kinda glad that they were fired up for their team because that’s how we are. We’re fired up for our team. Two great teams make a heck of a game.”
Miles also acknowledged the friendly salute he gave the Alabama students in tribute to their passion.
