And the winner of the Heisman Trophy is …

… not Trent Richardson.

The Alabama running back finished behind winner Robert Griffin III in back-and-fourth race spanning the last half of the season.

Richardson was third behind Griffin and Stanford’s Andrew Luck.

The voting:

1. Robert Griffin III: 1,687
2. Andrew Luck: 1,407
3. Trent Richardson: 978
4. Montee Ball: 348
5. Tyrann Mathieu: 327
6. Matt Barkley 153
7. Case Keenum: 123
8. Kellen Moore: 90
9. Russell Wilson: 52
10. LaMichael James 48.

In the end, Richardson’s career-best 203 rushing yards in the regular-season finale with Auburn wasn’t enough.

Check back later for much, much, much more.
