Saban to appear live on ESPN before SEC title game

Alabama coach Nick Saban will be in Atlanta tomorrow, not coaching in the SEC Championship Game, but as part of the television build up.

He will appear on ESPN’s College GameDay in the morning. His official title is “guest analyst,” an ESPN spokesperson said. Saban appeared on pregame coverage of last season’s BCS National Championship Game as well.

It’s all about exposure, he said.

“I’m not campaigning for anything. What I said after the game was what I believe in my heart, and that’s what I’ll continue to say. I’m not appearing anywhere to campaign. If you get asked to be on these things, it’s tremendous exposure for the university, the program. A lot of young people watch these things.”
