Noteworthy: North Florida is coming off a 15-19 season, but finished on a hot streak. In only its sixth Division-I season, the Ospreys won five straight before falling to Belmont in the Atlantic Sun Conference championship game. … North Florida’s Jerron Granbury, the team’s co-leading scorer from a year ago, was a teammate of Alabama’s Charles Hankerson at Miami’s Coral Reef High School. … The Ospreys’ other top scorer, Parker Smith, came off the bench all 34 times last season to match Granbury’s 12.0 scoring average. That made him the nation’s top-scoring reserve. … North Florida’s only other trip to Tuscaloosa came Dec. 2, 2009 in a 73-51 loss to Anthony Grant’s first Alabama team. … The Ospreys handled Flagler 84-67 in its only exhibition game Nov. 1 while the Tide beat UA-Huntsville, 67-60 on Monday.
