CBS just sent a release saying last night’s game between Alabama and LSU was the second-most viewed regular-season game in network history. It drew an 11.9 rating or a 21 share if you’re up on TV lingo.
For perspective, last year’s Alabama-LSU game had a 4.4/10 in the game kicked off at 2:30 p.m. CT.
The only game viewed more was the Notre Dame-Miami game from 1989 that drew a 14.5/26. Remember, there weren’t nearly as many games on cable at that time.
